The Federal Aviation Administration has granted approval for a 22-story AC By Marriott Hotel to be built a block away from Brickell City Centre.

The FAA is allowing a height of 263 feet above ground, or 268 feet above sea level.

A construction permit was applied for earlier this year and is now near final approval, city records show.

AC Hotel By Marriott Brickell will include 264 rooms.

The ground floor will have 22,086 square feet of ground floor retail. A rooftop lounge is also planned at the top of the tower.

The El Eden motel on the site was demolished in late 2017 to make way for the project.

Robert Finvarb and Tony Cho are the developers.

Arquitectonica is the architect.
