Missoni Baia’s six-story parking garage is getting close to top off, and piling work appears to be in progress for the 57-story residential tower.
Plans filed with the city last year show that the garage will be connected by a bridge to the residential tower.
In January 2018, the developers announced that they had already installed nearly 200 piles and 150 tons of steel reinforcing bar as they worked to complete the foundation.
According to an agreement filed with Miami Dade’s Water and Sewer Department this month, the tower will have 146 residential units. Earlier, the developer had filed plans with the city to increase the project’s unit count from 146 to 249.
A construction permit recently worked on (but still not approved) also lists the unit count at 146, along with a 58-story, 696-foot building height
