A development exceeding 50,000 square feet has been submitted for review by Miami Beach’s Planning Board.

Sunset Park, as the project is called, is proposed to include five floors of retail, residential and parking. It will be built on .77 acres in Sunset Harbour that currently contain a mix of vacant land and buildings slated for demolition.

At the ground level, there will be two restaurants with over 100 seats each, two cafes with under 100 seats each, and four spaces for retail shops. Total commercial space is 18,292 square feet.

Above the retail will be a parking garage with 82 spaces, the minimum required by Miami Beach code for a project of this size.

Each floor on levels three, four and five, will have 4 large residences with indoor and outdoor spaces. A total of 12 residential units are proposed.

The project faces review by the Planning Board at an October 23 meeting.

Domo Architecture + Design is the architect, with Deco Capital the developer.
